Machine & Practice Balls

Having quality baseballs to practice with is an important part of a successful practice session. Old balls can become out of round and dead. They won't come off the bat or out of a pitching machine properly causing unpredictible results and potentially creating a hazardous situation. Make sure that every practice brings out each player’s best with the right practice baseballs so when it comes time for your big game you'll be ready to take home a win.

Baseballs for Pitching Machines

There are a great deal of different types of baseballs for pitching machines and each one has its own particular advantages. The standard baseball styles and sting-free dimpled styles give you and your players a great amount of consistency and accuracy when practicing against a pitching machine, creating hand-eye coordination so you can to hit the sweet spot time after time. Poly-balls and whiffle balls are great for indoor use when you need to limit how far the ball flies or when you have a youth league hitting off a tee. Practicing with these light weight balls promotes focus, concentration, and accuracy.

Non-Machine Practice Baseballs

There are times when you may not want to use a pitching machine for batting practice. During those times it’s important to have a few practice baseballs handy that aren’t for machines. Whether you just have to move the practice inside or you’re training a little league team to not fear the ball, one of the best things to have in your arsenal is a soft foam ball. They can be pitched or tee'd up and give a batter instant feedback on the swing, allowing them to immediately feel whether the ball has been hit in the sweet spot.

Practice Baseballs for Reaction and Fielding

M.A.S.A. also carries practice balls for training your fielders. Your fielders need just as much training as your batters & pitchers . They need to work on their reaction time as well as their hand-eye coordination and reflexes. At Sportsadvantage.com, we offer reaction balls that will keep your players on their toes. These reaction training balls are uniquely shaped causing the ball to bounce in unpredictable patterns. Practice routines that utilize these reaction trainers will help create players who are quick with their feet and hands to keep any grounder from getting by.
