3 DIET TIPS

Nutrition is something I'm extremely passionate about because the rest of the world makes it so difficult to understand what to eat and what not to eat...causing you to eat unhealthy things you think are healthy and it drives me crazy. So I'm on a mission to make it as simple as possible for you to follow....currently working on my NOT Diet Book to breakthrough the noise out there. There are 3 diet tips I want to share with you right now that wll help you get Beach Ready!


Tip 1: Drink .55 x your bodyweight in oz's of water per day
Yes, I know you will pee a lot but that's a good thing! I call it "bathroom cardio" because it gets you up moving! Not to mention, water helps your metabolism, digestion and elimination so you store less calories as fat.


Tip 2: No Sugar in AM before 11:00 am or PM after 6:00 pm
Our insulin sensitivity levels are extremely high in the AM, which can cause you to store calories and cause your energy level to drop. At night, our bodies do not need the sugar for energy so it can store as fat.
Sugar disrupts your entire system, from brain to internal organs to energy - this includes fruit. Fruit is not a bad thing to eat, it's just important you time it properly. The best time for sugar is immediately post workout.


Tip 3: Cut out gluten!
Don't get too excited, I'm not recommending you eat gluten free cookies, muffins and all the other gluten free stuff out there...basically food companies have made gluten into a junk food section under disguise as "healthy."
Instead, focus on lean proteins, eggs, greek yogurt, raw nuts and veggies. Depending on where you are, thinking about personal training/bootcamp or already crushing it, these things may sound impossible or a way of life. Don't try to be perfect. Focus on 3 days on and 1 day off - just don't binge on your day off!
